Goldendale!
We went to pick up Duchess from hippie horse camp this weekend. We made a vacation out of it, and it was strange and fun. We picked her up on Saturday, got to see her ride and show off her place.
This is the place.

This is the view from the Goldendale Observatory, where we went to see a "solar show" that turned out, unexpectedly, to be a 2-hour lecture about the sun that was actually pretty darn interesting.
Then we drove to the campground, which was tucked between two railroads, a river, a freeway, and a highway. It was not exactly a quiet wilderness experience. But we were using it for cheap lodging, so it was fine.
This is the Maryhill Museum, a very strange place that also turned out to be pretty cool. We posed with the sculptures, because art is really just a photo opportunity, right?
And this is a full-size replica of Stonehenge. Because why not?
