Sleep

Those of you who have known us since Dutch was an infant may remember that she was a terrible sleeper. She's still not much for sleep, fighting it right up to the last moment, and waking in the wee hours nearly every night, and she hasn't napped at home since she turned 2. Given the summer light, I've had the opportunity to photograph her sleeping lately, and I'm sharing it with you. This is her just being adorably asleep.













And this is a picture I took after a particularly annoying going-to-bed-session in which I had left her alone in her room playing, and she fell asleep in this position, clutching a plastic penguin to her chest.
