1) Yesterday Dutch called her dead great-grandfather. ("Farfar, hi! We love you! Bye!")

2) This is Dutch last week, filling in her Summer Reading chart.













3) This is Dutch last weekend, in the courtyard with the 8-year-old girl who lives downstairs, has very long sumptuous hair, and treats Dutch remarkably kindly. Dutch worships her. Cook and I are pretty grateful to her. We're considering paying the family to stick around instead of moving this fall.
