An effort to balance out my recent bus-related crankiness

Reasons the Bus is Better Than a Car:
  1. You can read.
  2. You have to spend time with people who are different than you.
  3. You have to be patient.
  4. Your kid doesn't have to be in a carseat.
  5. Your kid has to spend time with people who are different than you.
  6. You can talk to your kid without having to concentrate on driving.
  7. Your kid has to learn about waiting.
  8. You pollute less.
  9. You spend less.
  10. You learn to be a little more zen about your time.
  11. You get to hear that your child's classmate is now lobbying her mother to commute on the bus, because "Dutch rides the bus all the time."
