The kid has pinkeye again. Again! So my plans for the day are shot, as I will be in the company of a 4-year-old dressed like an Easter egg,* which makes it hard to swim laps and do data entry. This time, however, I'm holding off on getting the eyedrops unless things get uglier, since I suspect it's viral conjunctivitis rather than bacterial, and is going to clear itself up. And since I don't have paid work anymore, there's a different balance in the expense of the eyedrops vs the expense of my time at home with the kid.
*In that she's wearing lots of pastel patterns and prints, not that she's actually wearing an egg costume.
