I love this.

When I'm particularly grouchy, Cook will often quietly put on one of a couple different records that are almost guaranteed to cheer me up. Dutch recently requested the star of the Cheering-Up Collection, The Pirates of Penzance, because it has a preschooler-attractive cover, and she loved it. Right now she's watching youtube clips of the show, and liking it just as much as Star Wars. I've ordered the DVD from the library, because I love it too. I'm pretty sure that my passion for Kevin Kline matches Dutch's passion for the frilly dresses, the pirates, the silly policemen, and the patter singing.
