I have found a new ridiculous TV show to watch. This time, I'm aware that there aren't very many episodes, in contrast to my experience with Downton Abbey AND Sherlock, which somehow BOTH caught me by surprise when I finished an episode and found there was nothing left to watch, which was terrible. Now I know to treasure every ridiculous moment.

I bristled a little at you calling Firefly "ridiculous"! I have such a soft spot for this show. I think it is finely calibrated and self-aware ridiculousness of the highest order.
At least there's a movie though!
i'm in complete agreement with tiffky doofky. less ridiculous than battlestar gallactica (which we also lost much sleep over, due to "just one more episode" problem). also, yay! for the movie, indeed. it's definitely worth watching.
