I'm surprised every time I look at her and see that she has her own face on, not a mushy little baby face. (Yes, it's still mushy. But she's come a long way.) I thought we were unusually able to admit that ours was not an adorable baby, but when I look back at her baby photos I am astonished by how completely weird she looked. Though she wasn't actually always bathed in yellow light... that's a photographic glitch.

In case you were wondering, that's her paternal grandmother's coloring and body, her maternal grandmother's eyes, and her maternal grandfather's chin. The nose remains unclaimed.
