Me, free to be me. Whee!

Today I took Dutch to a birthday party, and left Skipper at home with Cook. I left Dutch at the party for a while and walked over to a nearby park, where I sat on a bench in the shade of a tree and read a book BY MYSELF. I had no time-keeping device* but I believe I did this for about 30 minutes before I got to feeling guilty and had to go back. It was blissful.

*I just can't handle these new-fangled contraptions.
