My beautiful children

This is Dutch after a particularly raucous playdate. One of her complaints about this playdate was that her playmate told her that his rug was a magic carpet, and they were going on a trip to Africa, and then it turned out that it wasn't really a magic carpet, and he was only PRETENDING. Seriously. She was really upset about it. Dutch's belief in magic runs very, very deep.

And this is Skipper. The other day I found her alone in the living room doing something like this, saying happily "Side up down! Me! Legs! Side up down!"
